Make
special events work (and actually make money).
Understand how you get others to do your events for you. Produce
`standardised events’ which work for you on an annual or continuous
basis. Consider the possibility of producing a D-I-Y Fundraising Pack
that allows people to undertake events on your behalf - anything from
barn dances to jumping out of aeroplanes. Corporate
Giving Assess
your corporate contacts and how to develop more. Maximise the use of these companies (e.g. with corporate
joint promotions). Understand what motivates the corporate donor and
include this in your approaches. Training Train trustees, staff or volunteers in any aspect of fundraising. Lead ‘brainstorming’ sessions or workgroups focusing on an holistic approach or a particular part of your organisation’s fundraising. ENCAMS - Ecoschools "Thank you for your hard work on our corporate campaign. We were very impressed with the case statement that we produced together and are delighted that HSBC have taken Ecoschools on as one of their four chosen causes - thanks to your introduction. The £300,000 contribution from a corporate trust that you gained after meeting with one of our more distant supporters was also a tremendous bonus."

“I
am so sorry for not getting in touch with you earlier but things have
been quite busy here. I blame you in part for that! We had such a good
day with you that I have had to do an immense amount to fulfil the
requests of the Area Secretaries. In all seriousness Paddy, I and
everyone else who attended would like to pass on our gratitude for your
help. The overwhelming consensus of opinion was that your input was the
most useful yet. We all gained from the day and we all took a great deal
away from it - all positive." |
